Dilution scheme for antibiotics for injection

Antibiotic Baytril

Baytril causes pain in turtles. Before the injection, the turtle should not be fed and watered, as vomiting is possible. After a course of antibiotics, there may be digestive problems that disappear within a month. To stimulate appetite, you can pierce a short course of the B-complex, for example, the medical ampouled drug Beplex. Baytril is not recommended to be diluted. it is stable only in an alkaline environment, it quickly becomes cloudy, losing effectiveness. Baytril is excreted faster in aquatic turtles, so they need to inject it daily, and land turtles every other day. Baytril should not be injected into species: Egyptian, pseudo-geographic, because it is bad for health. Amikacin should be used instead.

Analogues of Baytril 2,5% – Marbocil (only available in Ukraine, do not need to be diluted), Baytril 5%, Enroflon 5%, Enrofloxacin 5%, Enromag 5% – these are analogues, but they must be diluted immediately before the injection. It is diluted 1:1 with liquid for injection. After dilution – the dosage is the same as Baytril, but this is not recommended, because. the solution is not stable.
